A selection of full-text versions of theoretical works on the history of art, architecture and landscape design, dating from the 16th-20th c., made available through the Heidelberg University Library.
A major new collection of resources, created by a team of researchers from the University of Cambridge and King's College, London, PASE Domesday comprises a large database of landholdings which can be explored in the form of tables and maps either directly online, or offline using free-available GIS software. It is specifically designed to allow users to identify pre-Conquest landholders more efficiently. The online database enables users to list, map and quantify the estates of all the named landholders in William the Conqueror's great Domesday survey of 1086.

A selection of extraordinary birds eye perspectives of Gloucestershire country houses and estates.
What’s Out There is a searchable online database incorporating historic designed landscapes from all 50 US states. It is complemented by images, biographical essays and glossary entries. The database, produced by the Cultural Landscape Foundation, contains both National Historic Landmark (NHL) properties and National Register of Historic Places sites listed with landscape significance as well as those which relate to the designed landscape. It does not include vernacular landscapes.
The Falda publications include the titles Villa Pamphilia, Il nvovo teatro delle fabriche, et edificii..., Li giardini di Roma ..., and Le fontane di Roma nelle piazze e lvoghi pvblici della città and Palazzi di Roma..., as well as a map. The 5 volumes consist of illustrations of various features of Rome. All are works of the Italian printmaker Giovanni Battista Falda (ca. 1640-1678).
This database is a work in progress. Initially developed by the Lewis Walpole Library to support research for the exhibition Horace Walpole’s Strawberry Hill and for the renovation of the house itself, it encompasses the entire range of art and artifacts from Walpole's collections, including all items whose location is currently known and those as yet untraced but known through a variety of historical records.
This pilot website from English Heritage enables 'anyone interested in England’s historic buildings and archaeological sites to search – free of charge – photographs and documents held by the National Monuments Record, the public archive of English Heritage'.
